Joan M. Chapdelaine, PhD

Vice President, Immunology

Education: BS Microbiology University of Rhode Island, PhD Genetics Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Post-Doctoral fellowship Immunology University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine as a Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Cancer Fund Fellow.
Responsibilities: Oversee inflammatory/autoimmune disease models as well as studies such as the local lymph node assay and T-dependent antibody response assay to KHL for immunotoxicology evaluation.
Interests: Gardening (including her water garden complete with Koi), reading, and good wine.

Thomas L. Ferrell, BS, RLATG

Manager, Laboratory Animal Resources/Primatology

Education: BS Michigan State University, Laboratory Animal Technologist Certification U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine.
Responsibilities: Oversees all primate activities, co-chairs the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), supervises Pathology activities, and is the point of contact for numerous vendors and regulatory agencies.
Interests: Pre-1920 classic car restoration.

Responsibilities: PK/ADME, pharmacy, and metrology departments.
Interests: Gardening, cooking and playing volleyball.

Responsibilities: Oversees general direction of the Quality Assurance unit and Archive area.

Responsibilities: Animal welfare, care and use, regulatory compliance, study director education, SOP development, technique development, training, pathology and clinical pathology oversight, facility maintenance guidance, surgical procedures, anesthesia, etc.
Interests: Church, house building,, cross stitching, gardening, hiking, and bicycling.

Steve Sloneker

Director, Pharmacokinetics & ADME

Education: BS Biology Certre College of Kentucky
Responsibilities: Directs, designs, executes, analyzes, and summarizes all aspects of preclinical pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic in vivo studies. In addition, he serves as a Principal Investigator and liaison for analytical services.
Interests: Enjoys professional and college sports, thoroughbred horse racing, golf, and preparing dinner for his family.
